Alexander Cook is an experienced real estate appraiser and business leader in the valuation industry, specializing in quality control, USPAP compliance, and the appraisal of unique and rural properties. He works with the Appraisal Diversity Initiative, supporting efforts to attract a new generation to the appraisal profession.

As Chief Valuation Officer, Alex develops tailored valuation solutions for diverse use cases, including tax appeals, litigation support, pre-list appraisals for real estate agents, and more. He also plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of the firm’s appraisal services by designing training programs for new appraisers, streamlining valuation workflows, and implementing best practices for all of the firm's valuation assignments.

Alex holds the SRA and AI-RRS designations from the Appraisal Institute and has completed advanced coursework in appraisal methods, ethics, market analysis, and valuation modeling. He collaborates with general appraisers on complex assignments, such as large ranch properties, apartment complexes, condemnation cases, and other atypical commercial projects. He is a member of the Colorado Chapter of the Appraisal Institute's Residential Topics & Solutions Committee, contributing his expertise to address challenges and innovations in the residential valuation space.

With a degree from Oberlin College, Alex's professional journey is further enriched by his international upbringing and part Japanese heritage, which provide him with a distinctive perspective on varied market contexts.
